Every month I select a tarot deck out of my collection and pick 12 cards from that correlate to each sign of the zodiac. October’s #crushascope was conjured up using The Cat’s Eye Tarot by Debra M. Givin, DVM
Starting October 5th, we will be dealing Venus retrograde. It last 41 days and will give everyone a chance to re-evaluate relationships with themselves, others, and with money. Venus also happens to rule money, not just love.
Retrogrades are hard, but they do not have to suck. This is a time to be kind to yourself and re-visit a scenario and see how far you have come. Learn from your past but make peace with it. Life is too short.
LIBRA XIII DEATH
Big changes for the better are coming your way. Venus, your ruling planet, goes retrograde in your sign starting on the 5th. You could be met with bumps along the road in career and love but try to roll with it. Expect an ex-colleague or an old flame comeback. Change your patterns by closing the book on old relationships and situations that do not serve you.
SCORPIO X WHEEL OF FORTUNE
The tide is turning in your favor this Halloween season. Things will be easier this month as your luck changes for the better. You felt a little bit short changed or as if people were unable to hear you out. This is a chance for you to set the record straight Scorpio. Nothing delivers justice better than the sting of truth. Use your voice to make things right by you and your loved ones.
SAGITTARIUS KNIGHT OF WANDS
You find yourself backtracking to things you have left on the backburner. Perhaps, you pick up an old practice you forgot out or decide to finally try that thing you have been thinking about for such a long time.
CAPRICORN XII THE HANGED KITTY (yes that is the name of this card)
You will feel a lot of internal conflict and may struggle with decision making this month. Do not let the pressure get to you. Do not allow others to pressure you either. Speak up about needed more time to make decisions. This is a good month to really write out pros and cons and see how you can make the right choice. You may crave alone time for this too so really pay no mind to anyone who is trying to force your hand or guilt trip you. You do not have time for that!
AQUARIUS KNIGHT OF PENTACLES
You may encounter something new and exciting in your personal life but make sure you take things slow. Do not get wrapped up too strong and too fast. You may end up not being able to cash a check your heart can’t cash. On the other hand, this month will be good for you on the business side. You have a lot of extra energy to burn this spooky season so perhaps put that toward work or making an award winning costume.
PISCES XIX THE SUN
You will receive and unexpected and welcome surprise this October. After what felt like complete isolation or just being in your feelings, you have a change of heart and will feel your spirit lift up from a grave. Venus retrograde aside, dive in carefully into new relationships with friends, crushes, co-workers. You could be renewing a current bond with family and or your boo. It is time to heal those wounds and kiss those insecurities goodbye.
ARIES KING OF WANDS
This month, you examine relationships and make hard passes on people who do not bring out the best in you. Mastery over friendships requires that you choose quality over quantity. You know deserve the best life has to offer, the same goes for the people who surround you. Stay close to people who offer you full support but who challenge you in healthy ways. Yes men are a red flag as are people who throw minor shade. You may be crafty this month too or may want to have an intimate party with you and your nearest/dearest this Halloween.
TAURUS TEN OF WANDS
Are you getting enough sleep? Are you wearing too many hats at work and home? Explore your boundaries Taurus. You may be biting off more than you can chew and it could end up affecting your health. Perhaps, you need to back track and rethink how you rest and recuperate after a busy day. You also may need to gently let people know that you are not a dumping ground for their complaints. This is very draining of your energy too.
GEMINI KING OF CUPS
It is time to boss your self-esteem. This month will challenge you and your feelings of self-worth. You need to remind yourself that you are worth it. You deserve good things and you have the skills needed to prove it. You also need to remember that you are you're own worst critic. You work hard Gemini when you are inspired and shine bright too. Just allow yourself to make mistakes and remember that even the foremost expert in a subject was a beginner at one point.
CANCER TEN OF CUPS
This is a very social month for you. Expect to do a lot of extracurricular activities with friends and your partner. Your dance card may be filled with arts and crafts projects and plenty of Halloween parties. I get a strong sense you will put a lot of work into your costume if that is your thing. Group costumes may be the way to go for you Cancer. All this activity will be healing and a nice distraction for anyone close to you going through a hard time.
LEO SIX OF SWORDS
You may encounter a much needed distraction from reality this month Leo. Emotions and a sense of responsibility run high and you may temporarily check out from drama and just take care of you. Just remember you cannot hide behind meetings and extracurricular activities. You will have to go back sort things out toward the end of the month. Use this month to relax. It will give you a fresh perspective for when you need to tie up loose ends.
VIRGO EIGHT OF SWORDS
October may be a bit stressful for you this month Virgo. Self-care is on the menu as poorly received news may affect you mentally and physically. Make sure you get a lot of rest and try not to take things too personally. Just because things around you are not as stable as you would like them to be doesn’t reflect poorly on you.
