Got a Girl Crush On: Erika Wennerstorm from The Heartless Bastards

I (Meg) will forever be an Ohio girl (Akron represent, what what!) and always have a soft spot in my heart for Ohio bands (The Pretenders, Devo, The National,  GBV, The Black Keys!)–but was particularly taken with vocals of this female songstress on a mix my bf made me when we first met….but all sap aside–if you are not familiar with this band (although some of you might remember their appearance on an epidsode Friday Night Lights), then get you post-haste to their site to listen to straight-up rockin jams! 

Now they call their home in Austin, TX (another city I have also lived–which if my trajectory is parallel to theirs, it means NY should be their next stop!)
