Formed by original STOMP member, Yako Miyamoto, COBU is a body-shaking, mind-blowing, sheer smile-inducing force to be reckoned with. All ladies. Big drums. Tap dancing. FTW!
Shot these amazing ladies from the all-female Japanese dance/drum troupe, COBU, this morning for Tom Tom Magazine. I was only allowed 30 minutes of their 2 hour practice to snap, but this is one of the pieces they performed for me.
Seriously? They are fucking incredible!
