Got a Girl Crush On: Broad City

“Broad City,” the cult hit web series, comes to you compliments of the collective brains of Abbi Jacobson + Ilana Glazer (both UCB alum). Called “sneak attack feminism” by the Wall Street Journal, the series follows two friends navigating their way though the mundane situations that we all call life… each moment, however, is distinctly Abbi and Ilana. The two manage to make their unique and twisted perspective wildly relatable: It’s both universal and specific and unmistakably “Broad City.” Their ability to make us cringe/laugh at our own awkwardness is the reason the girls can call people like Amy Poehler, Kristen Schaal, and Hannibal Buress fans and guest stars.

Rumor has it these gals just scored a legit tv show slated to be produced by some no-name comedienne…
