CRUSHASCOPE AUGUST 2016

Every month our resident bruja, Sonia, picks a tarot deck out of her collection and picks 12 cards from that correlate to each sign of the zodiac. This is #crushascope for August 2016.

Please note that Mercury will be going into Retrograde at the very end of August into the sign of Virgo. This means we will be in the shadow 2 weeks before, although I feel the shadow is a bit stronger this time. A lot of you may feel more foggy brained than usual and may see the return of old friends or possibly even an ex or 2. This is totally normal during this time because you may just need to complete or close the book on something that has been lingering. My advice to you all is just get into a meditation practice if you can. Just 5 minutes of getting grounded will help leaps and bounds. Kick it up a notch and feel free to get some reiki done too to really get that personal tune up.

LEO -  SIX OF CUPS

Happy Birthday Leo! This is a great month for you. Things are falling into place and in your favor. You will be more involved with your loved ones more than usual. You will want to recreate your home and work space to match your new positive outlook. This peace of mind will serve you too as you will be the voice of reason just before Mercury Retrograde hits at the very end of the month.

VIRGO - SON OF WANDS

Having a sense of humor is going to save you this month. Pre-retrograde is gonna hit you hard because A, the retrograde is in your sign and B, Mercury is your planet. All’s not lost. You may feel like you are losing your mind but just be super mindful, relaxed, and know that little missteps are just temporary. It will be good to have a nice piece of obsidian at your side to help you keep grounded, calm, and collected. Use this month as well as the first 3 weeks to start a meditation practice. It will keep you on the right path Virgo.

LIBRA - SEVEN OF WANDS

Try not to over analyze too much this month Libra. The shadow of Mercury retrograde is going to make you second guess and make you a little paranoid. I think you need get out of your head a little bit and keeps things nice and light. Detach from expectation and take a vacation from what is bothering you. You will re-visit the issue when the moment is right for you. It highly suggest keeping plants, having flowers nearby to help you ease your mind and heart. Pink is a good color for you to focus on too when in meditation. It is all about love and compassion.

SCORPIO - NINE OF SWORDS

You are going to fight for your rights and stand up to your fears this month. Close the book and tie the loose end on those relationships that are exhausting and not serving you. You need to get your power back this month! You demand respect because you deserve respect. Don’t be afraid to speak up if something is upsetting you. It is possible that your dreams will also be your guides so pay attention to them and keep a journal of what you are seeing and hearing while are asleep. Your guides are extra chatty this month because they want to help you out. Take note!

SAGITTARIUS - SHAMAN OF SWORDS

I get really excited when I can incorprate a song for a sign. It’s your turn Sagittarius! Express yourself! You have needs and you also need to make some demands in a diplomatic way. What do you want most in life? How do you want to get there? These are questions you have and they can no longer be ignored. You need to think about it and share this idea with people who will support you on your journey.

CAPRICORN - SIX OF SWORDS

August will bring you clarity to a situation you have had on your mind. You are looking for answers and more importantly, a resolution. Things will definitely clear up around the 3rd week of the month for you and you will know what to do. In the meantime, just make sure you are taking enough time to take care of yourself. This is really important and as stress may affect you physically if you are not careful.  

AQUARIUS - SHAMAN OF WANDS

You are going to be called upon to be a middleman in certain situations. You have a lot of sage advice to offer this month so lend yourself out! Diplomacy is your middle name this month. Perhaps 2 people have had a falling out and you are the one person to help bring the peace. You are also going to be asked a lot of advice in terms of how-to and what is right. People will be looking to you this month to set and example and to take charge. It is a role that you may want to stay out of but it is actually where you should be at this moment in time Aquarius. Don’t be shy and feel free to help those out where you can.

PISCES - XIII DEATH

A cycle is coming to a close for you Pisces. The Death card is about change and August is going to be just about that. You have outgrown certain habits or perhaps your job no longer gives you the satisfaction it once did. You will be shedding your skin and starting fresh. This is just in time as Mercury retrograde starts at the end of August. It will have a great effect on your sign as it will mark the end of something but also begin something new and wonderful for you.  

ARIES - PRIESTESS OF CUPS

Get creative during August Aries. Whether you paint, create music, or just like to take pictures this is a good month to create a vision board or to begin making art of any kind. This is the kind of inspiration you will need to make your goals and achieve your happiness. If you feel like you are not artistic, don’t back away! This is a time to learn and get in touch with that side of yourself. Your karmic path this month really wants you to create so pick up a pen, a brush, a camera, anything really. The result will help you attain that which you have been waiting for.  

TAURUS - VI THE LOVERS

You have to get beyond what is tangible this month. Get more in touch with people by interacting with them on a mental or spiritual level. It is a bond that has been lacking for some of you. It is hard for such a grounded sign to see past the three dimensional but you can achieve this by perhaps picking up a spiritual practice such as the tarot or perhaps a simple oracle deck. You need to make connections with people that go beyond what you see. Perhaps if you are also trying to achieve a physical goal it is a good time to get in touch with your mind and heart and see how you can align them too.

GEMINI - TEN OF WANDS

August is going to be a very busy month for you. Try not to burn yourself out Gemini. You will have to pick your battles and can say no to to things that are outside of your scope. Remember that you are only one person. Also take extra vitamins and to eat right because you may get sick from lack of rest. You are going to be in demand but I cannot stress enough that even though the hard work will pay off you must take it easy.
You cannot make everyone happy which can be hard because you want so badly to make sure everyone is taken care of. Take care of you first!

CANCER - SON OF DISCS

You will be working extra hard on a project and have something to prove. You are no longer a student and want to show everyone that you are now the master of your domain. Stay disciplined and focus. Your hard work will pay off! Even if you feel like you are having a hard day just take a day off but keep your eyes on the prize Cancer. You have a lot of success coming your way because you have done the work.
